We waited and waited and waited for the first of its kind super-hero movie in Tamil and it has finally arrived. Kandhaswamy, starring Vikram and Shriya, is nothing short of a visual extravaganza.
The movie is a typical Robin Hood fare. Vikram plays Kanthaswamy, a CBI officer who takes from the rich and gives to the poor, in this case to a village. The sudden economic improvement in the village set the Intelligence Department thinking that something is wrong there. So one of their officers (Prabhu) is appointed to look into the matter. And thus begins a cat-and-mouse chase.
Joining this chase is Subbulakshmi (Shriya) who gets involved with Kanthaswamy with an agenda of her own. Their sweet arguments form welcome speed-breakers to the otherwise fast-paced narration.
Vikram looks amazing in all his get ups; as the woman, he is especially top-class.
